hello to friends who may check this page! I am so sorry that I never update!

So here is our update~

The Shaffer's - are great - I am working for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Budd is working at a new company called DAI - We both are really enjoying our jobs and now are on the big 'House Hunt." we hope to find a home soon.

I have tons of pictures - just not on my work computer of course - so here is a great little picture of Rooney - of when he was cute and little!!

Hello friends - it's a sad day for the Shaffers - our camera has decided to never turn on

again!!! I was in mid picture taking at Mrs. Shaffer's Birthday Celebration and the camera

just stopped working! I have been so frustrated!!! I hope to send it back and have it fixed. lets just hope that works!!!



Not much is new for Budd and I - We are enjoying our new home at the Waterfront - rooney

loves it here more than anyone - every time we step out the front door there is a dog there to play with! and the apartment has carpet in every room - Rooney is in heaven!!!



We really have not been that busy - It's actually been really nice to be tied to the home base for a while - We have some vacations planned for late summer and early fall~ but other than that we are laying low! Budd has been busy with work - I have been less busy with work - I have gone to part time with the Pittsburgh Youth Network and will actually be taking another part time job within the same office - with Amachi Pittsburgh - This ministry project works with kids who's parents are in jail. it's a mentoring match program - I think this job will be very fun and new! I am in the process of really figuring out what I want to be doing - I want to do Event planning full time - but that seems a bit hard here in pittsburgh - Pray that I figure out my next steps!!!!

28th Birthday Fun - March 17th, 2007

So close to 30 - i can smell it now!

But that is just fine - I had the most wonderful birthday! Budd

and i spent the whole day together - We both got massages -

we shopped for fun St. Patty's day things - Budd got me flowers

and a photo storage card for my digital frame!!! - then we enjoyed

dinner at the melting pot (thanks AK =-) to then hang out with all

of our friends at the waterfront!!! What a great - wonderful - amazing day.

I don't mind getting older if Birthday's are this fun!!!

Last weekend 9 of us traveled to the wonderful windy city of Chicago for AGD's first film festival. A few of our friends have been to this festival and loved it! So we all decided to make


a weekend of it (they even invited the girls!!!). We headed out to the Mid - West on Thursday evening got in late and for the rest of the weekend we watched movies!!! AGD had two screanings - Friday night was an okay turn out, it was raining and it was the first day of the festival. The second showing was Saturday at 4:00 and the turn out was AMAZING -- over


100 people joined us! The audiance loved it! They also loved the members from the 501st - (as you can see in the pictures) .





The weekend was a great success - We are still waiting to hear where we placed. The hunt for Wii's was on all weekend... with a great success story of Jeff getting his very own Wii - and Ben buying more than he needs... lets all cross our fingers and hope he sells them soon!!!





We also had the chance to catch up with a dear friend Missy Moreno. She is living in Chicago right now trying to hopefully 'make it big'. She is so talented and is such an amazing person... We KNOW she will go far...!!





My cousin Rachel also visited us - with her new boyfriend!! I am so blessed to have 'caught' up with my younger cousin. We have not spent much time together due to her living in Chicago all my life... a couple of months ago my Grandfather passed away and she came in for the funeral... Needless to say I have not seen her since she was in diapers. Now she is a strong, beautiful Christian Woman! I am so blessed to call her family!





Not much else is new with the Shaffers. The rest of the month we hope to take it easy... We love our new place at the Waterfront! check back next week for some new pictures from the Birthday weekend!!!

Budd visit's the Southern States!

A couple of weeks ago Budd had the chance to atend an Ethenol Conference in Arizona.

Which gave him the chance to catch up with a good friend ... Gavin.. from Virginia Tech!

MOVING

The Shaffers are offically moving!!! No we did not buy -- we are renting once again! We plan

on saving up money for a year for a mighty downpayment. So we will be moving to the Waterfront apartments. Some of you may remember our engagement party - was held in a wonderful club house at an apartment complex - This is where we will be living! We are really exciting for a change - and excited for all the perks - pool - club house - gym - close shopping --- and Starbucks! We will be moving in a week - the offical date is February 27th~ We will have a one bedroom apartment warming party soon! We might need to have two so that everyone can fit!!

I decided to add a few pictures of the Beechwood Blvd house - in memory of the fun times we have had there! With this massive snow storm we have had the pictures are amazing! Ice on all the trees and the sun shinning bright! Enjoy - come back for pictures of the new place!!

January 15, 2007 - what a night! The cast and crew of A Great Disturbance had a great turn out for their Pittsburgh Premire. Thank you to all of our friends and family who came to support. Keep the movie in your prayers and thoughts as now it's going to be entered in many film festivals. We will keep you updated on all the details!!!! Thanks again!!!

Yet another year of our famous new years weekend at the cabin! 10 friends and family joined us for the weekend of playing Nintendo Wii, Corn Hole (Thanks to Dawn and Glen), and just relaxing! It never fails, we always have a great time! Our tradition of the new years resolution was great again, ending in prayer and a commitment to support and love each other through this new year! What a way to ring in the new year! Love you all!

We had a wonderful Christmas! We visited and visited some more! We spend the whole day on Christmas eve at the Shaffers house and then Christmas day at the Huwalts' house! Rooney came along for the ride also! What a joyous time!

Christmas Time is everywhere~

Hi Friends. this is just a quick update! Things are GREAT for Budd and I right now! Tonight is his LAST class at CMU ever!!! He will offically be done with School! He is so excited to have some down time!!!! Christmas shopping is almost done, and the baking will start next week! I hope to have some pictures posted after this weekend. Budd and I are going on a special graduation date tonight, and followed by his unvailing of the WII tomorrow morning!!! Then off to his company Christmas party, then after that we are spending some quailty time with the family on sunday for our annual Christmas Carol veiwing! then to end the weekend we will have a small graduation party for budd at the Sharp Edge in shadyside!!!
