The Pittsburgh Steelers with a Baseball Bat!

I love Steeler season, more than anyone can ever know! Last Sunday we had a great Steeler playoff get together! The living room was filled with all our friends and family. The dining room was filled with a Chocolate fountain and goodies brought by all!

If you have never joined us for a Steelers game, then you do not know the Touchdown tradition. That would be Mrs. Shaffer swinging her black and gold scarf all over the living room! When I can figure out how to put video on our blog, I will post a little snippet of her dancing!

The Super Bowl party is being worked on as I write this. We are going back and forth, should we have it at our house or rent out somewhere else? One thing that I have confirmed is 2 large trays of PEROGIES! From this great place out in Brentwood!

New Years with the Shaffers

This New Years Celebration at the Shaffer Chalet was one to remember. We had about 30 people up for the weekend. Friends And Family! The weather was perfect, snow at Alpine lake and some warmer weather for a comfortable day of skiing...

There where a few things to truly remember, Budd's party pants and the beer helmet that my brother gave him for Christmas, about 30 games of Catch phrase, Mark sled ridding, the wonderful fire works display, stuffed cabbage and Hobo dinners, watching the life size Steelers win on the wall of the upstairs room, and of course our new years resolution time at midnight.

I have to say this new years was a special one, I know that the Lord was well woven throughout the whole weekend, He brought us all together closer than before. I thank everyone who came to make this new years the best ever...
